PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength and sensitivity by utilizing an optical fiber and a bimetal. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 5 is made in one piece with bimetals 1, so that it follows up the movement of the bimetals 1. A light emitting element 7 is disposed to one end of the fiber 5 and a photodetector 6 via a slit 8 to the other end. Then, while the bimetals 1 are straight, the light emitted from the light emitting element 7 does not enter the photodetector 6 even if it emits from the other end of the fiber 5, and no current flows to the load 3 to be controlled by a temperature. However, when the bimetals 1 curve on account of rise in the temp., the optical fiber 5 follows up the same as well, and the exit light enters the photodetecdor 6 through the slit 8, thereby causing the current to flow in the load 3. Hence, the on and off of the switch by temperature changes are made contactless, there is no degradation owing to contact wear and the sensitivity improves. |
