A packaging material suitable for bulk and liquid consumer products consisting of a bonded laminate of two plastic foils with a stiffer material foil, such as a metal foil, in which two orientated polyolefin foils are joined together one with the other in such a way that the respective orientation directions form an angle with each other and that the bond between one of these two foils and the stiffer material foil is considerably stronger than the bond between the two first mentioned foils.
