<p>The compounds represented by the structural formulae (l) (2) wherein n is an integer of from 1 to 4, A, B and C each independently represent hydrogen, a lower alkyl having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms or a lower alkenyl having from 3 to 5 carbon atoms, provided that the sum of the carbon atoms in A, B and C is no more than 7, R1 and R2 each independently represent hydrogen or a lower alkyl or alkenyl having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, R3 represents hydrogen or a lower alkyl or alkenyl having up to 6 carbon atoms, provided that the sum of the larger number of carbon atoms in either R1 or R2 plus R3 is no more than 10, have been found to be partcularly useful in compositions and methods for counteracting malodors.</p> |
