Method and device for preparing a ring spinning frame for automatic coil changing, which includes controlling a movable automatic servicing device for the spinning operation and a movable automatic servicing device for changing coils with a central automatic spinning control which controls the spinning processes of all spinning units of the machine so that both mentioned servicing devices are placed in readiness at the machine end of the ring spinning frame when the spinning process is completed.
