PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid level gauge for cryogenic liquefied gas in which the effective measurement range for liquid level is widened by fixing the leading end of a superconductive wire near to the wall surface of the vessel by way of pulleys. CONSTITUTION:A case 7 having a plurality of communicating holes 7a is provided in a vessel 1 in which a cryogenic liquefied gas is stored. Pulleys 13, 14, which are insulators, are provided near the upper, lower wall surfaces 17a, 17b in the case 7, and both ends of a superconductive wire 2 are fixed to the spring 3 fixed to an insulation pin 15 and an insulation pin 16. A heater 9 and voltage and current terminals 11a, 11b, 10a, 10b are provided to the superconductive wire 2, and when current is flowed to this heater 9, the part of the wire 2 not dipped in the cryogenic liquefied gas is a normally conductive part and therefore if the electric resistance of the superconductive wire of this time is obtained by the current and voltage values obtained from the voltage and current terminals, the liquid level in the vessel is widely measured. |
