CONSTITUTION:In an EC display device using a transition metal oxide such as WO3 as an EC substance and a soln. of an org. electrolyte such as propylene carbonate, in order to prevent the deterioration of the EC substance due to impurities (such as water or CH3SH resulting from the solvent used in the soln.) or water, etc. penetrating from a resin adhesive for sealing, a desiccating agent such as molecular sieve powder is mixed into the soln. to carry out dehydration and adsorption. The desiccating agent wrapped with a porous film of polyethylene or the like and fixed to the four corners of the EC cell while dipping in the soln. is allowed to use. |
