PURPOSE:To obtain a superior image higher in sensitivity than diazo paper, by adding a Co(III) complex, a spiropyran compound, a thioether compound, and an adsorbent to a proposed composition, and heating this after irradiation of ultraviolet rays or visible light. CONSTITUTION:The proposed light and heat sensitive composition contains a complex, such as Co(NH3)6.(CF3COO)3, a spiropyran compound represensted by formula I or the like, a thioether compound represented by formula II or the like, an adsorbent, such as ZnO, and a chelating agent, such as nitroanisol or dithiooxiamide. A coating fluid made by dispersing this composition together with a binder is coated on a base to form a light and heat sensitive layer. The recording material thus obtained is uniformly irradiated with ultraviolet rays UV to form opened ring type spiropyran and then, it is imagewise exposed to visible light to render the exposed areas closed ring type spiropyran, which is heated to 80-150 deg.C to give a high density positive image. A negative image is obtained by heating the layer imagewise exposed to ultraviolet rays. |
