<p>The filler cap is fitted over the neck of the bottle containing the electrolyte and inserted into the hole in the battery top to provide safe filling without risk of acid splash. The device comprises a rubber outer tube (4) which is angled to the larger dia. flexible cap (2) which fitted over the neck of the electrolyte bottle. The flexible cap is formed as a bellows (1) to ensure tight fit while allowing some flexing. The electrolyte flows down a tube (4) inside the filler neck. A second, smaller dia. tube (5) runs the length of the filler neck and has a flexible extension (6) which extends beyond the neck, allowing air to escape from the battery into the electrolyte bottle.</p> |
