摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the brightness by providing a pattern comprising many conductive opaque dot groups and conductive opaque thin line groups for connecting between said dot groups thereby increasing the area to be occupied a phosphor. CONSTITUTION:A meshed secondary electron collecting electrode 6 made of an opaque conductive material is coated on the inner face of a transparent face panel 5 in a vacuum container 4 encapsulated with a recording electron gun 1 and a reading electron guns 2, 3, while a phosphor film 7 is applied in said mesh. Furthermore round conductive opaque dots 11 are provided at the cross points of the mesh in the collecting electrode 6, and each dots 11 are connected through conductive opaque thin lines 12 which are thinner than the diameter of the dot. Since the dot 11 at the cross point are exposed, the secondary electrons can be effectively collected even if the phosphor 7 rides over the thin line 12 thereby the area to be occupied by the phosphor can be considerably increased.
