PURPOSE:To maintain machining accuracy constant even when eccentricity or inclination is caused in working shafts by the error or loader of a lapping machine, by inclining an outer cylinder in the direction of force corresponding to the condition so as to make inner and outer cylinders contact, which are to be worked, always with a constant surface pressure. CONSTITUTION:The inner cylinder A to be worked is attached to an inner cylinder holder 33 which is held by point support between two working shafts 14 and 28 which rotate and reciprocate synchronously. And the outer cylinder B is attached resiliently to the outer cylinder holder 40 equipped oscillatably in an outer transmission tube 21 which rotates differentially with respect to the working shaft 14. By holding the inner and outer cylinders A and B with the holders 33 and 40 in such a way, even when eccentricity or inclination is caused in the working shafts 14 or 28 by the error of the machine in radial directions or the load of a loader 51, the entire outer cylinder B is inclined in the direction of force corresponding to the condition, and the outer cylinder B and the inner cylinder A contact always with a constant surface pressure, whereby no harmful effect is given to machining accuracy. |
