PURPOSE:To bond and fix a sealing cap accurately at high speeds by carrying out the heat sealing process of high-frequency induction heating and the cutting process of cap material in the coaxial position of a metal can in bonding the cap material to the metal can. CONSTITUTION:A metal can 12 is moved upward by a lifter 10, and is pressed to the surface of a heating element 20 by way of a sealing cap body 14 fed by guide rolls 22, 24. The cap material 14 and the metal can 12 are locally heated and bonded by the high-frequency heating coil of the heating element 20. Thence, a punch cutter 28 descends together with an upper die plate 34, and cuts the cap material 14 to a desired cap shape cooperatively with a die cutter 26. This cutting is accomplished in the same position as that of bonding of the metal can 12. Thence, the punch cutter 28 retreats upward and at this same instant, the lifter 10 descends and takes out the metal can 12 which has been bonded and fixed with the sealing cap. The heat sealing cap material 14 is transferred by required pitch to be ready for the next bonding and fixing. |
