PURPOSE:To enable the heavy-load discharge, and completely prevent the liquid leakage of a battery, by providing the gas-side surface of an electrode body made of a porous metal with a water-repellent layer by means of sputtering. CONSTITUTION:For the purpose of completely preventing the liquid leakage, as well as enabling a continuous discharge of, for example, over 50mA/cm<2>, the gas- side surface of an electrode body made of a porous metal which also serves as a collector is provided with a water-repellent layer of 0.1-1mum. The water-repellent layer is made of, for example, a polytetrafluoroethylene, fluoroethylenepropylene, a polyphenyleneoxide or a polyphenylenesulfide. |
