Automobile headlight with internal air flow to prevent condensation - uses hollow seal to provide flow path between outside and headlight interior

The headlight has the housing (10) and the glass cover disc (12) hermetically coupled via a rubber seal (13,14) with a flattened hollow circular profile. The seal (13,14) has two sections with one end (16) of each section communicating with the outside air (18) and the other end (19) communicating with the interior of the headlight, to allow air to be fed to and from the latter through the hollow interior of each seal section. The seal sections may alternatively be positioned between the headlight and a cover cap fitted across the back. The air circulation is used to prevent moisture deposition on the headlight reflector and the seal is cheap to mfr. and allows easy assembly of the headlight unit.
