<p>The frame is used to mount a heat-pump for a e.g. refrigerator, locating the compressor , the condenser and the evaporator (7), and also cladding the assembly. It is H-shaped in elevation with a closed base (1) used to locate the compressor and the condenser. The floor (5) is used to locate the evaporator. The side walls (2) are mounted on the base (1) and are secured by screws (4) or rivets. The floor may be similarly connected to the side walls, the latter comprising sheet metal panels with screw holes. The walls may alternatively be integral with the floor, and the evaporator feed joint (6) may be above the floor.</p> |
