The lever for fastening or locking a ski boot has spring clip (51) fitted between the sides (47') of the lever and joined to the rack (43). The clip holds the traction cable (45) in one of the hollows (43') of the rack and can be moved along the rack. The centre part of the traction cable (49) forms an axle transversal to the longitudinal axis of the lever. It passes on either side of the clip and through holes (48') in each side of the lever and presses against these under the effect of the spring.
