PURPOSE:To facilitate operation to insert core wires through a nipple and to facilitate operation to remove an internal material when the wire is broken, by a method wherein the nipple for extruding and insulation-sheathing a plural number of core wires is longitudinally slit into two body parts. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge type cross head 10 consists of a cylindrical holder 12, a nipple 14, and a die 16. The nipple has 4 core wire perforations 26 in a tip part 28 thereof, and a matching part 24 at a rear part for matching the cross head. The nipple is longitudinally split into two nipple body parts 22A and 22B, and a positioning means 30, consisting of a projection 32 and a concavity 34, is provided on and in the two body parts 22A and 22B to mate together the two nipple body parts. The core wires can be inserted through the core wire perforations 26 in the nipple in a state to open the body parts 22A and 22B. Thus, the core wires are easy to insert through, and the inside of the nipple can be cleaned with the body parts opened even at a time when the wire is broken. |
