PURPOSE:Baskets carrying a number of sealed vessels of synthetic resin in which the starting material for tofu is charged are used to sterilize continuously the starting material, thus producing efficiently tofu packed in vessels of synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:Basket 14 is provided with several stages of shelves 29, on which a number of synthetic resin vessels for packing the starting material of tofu (bean curd) are placed in line by conveyor 25. Basket 14 carrying the vessels is held by hanging the end of shafts 18 of wheeles 17 on holder 15 fitted to chain mechanism 11 and moved first into warm water tank 2. Cylinder for noving basket 20 works to remove the basket from the chain mechanism 11 and the wheels 17 ride on the guide rails in the tank 2. A plurality of baskets in the warm water tank 2 are heated and then taken out of the tank by the chain mechanism 12 and introduced into cooling tank 1. Basket-moving cylinder 21 places the wheels 17 on the guide railes in the tank and the baskets are sent in turn and taken out of outlet 27. |
