<p>A metal enclosed switchgear includes a circuit breaker (8) freely movable into or out of a cabinet by means of rollers (9) rolling along the floor (2a) of the cabinet, a rod (23) for operating an earthing switch and a mechanical interlock (B) between the circuit breaker (8) and the earthing switch for preventing the circuit breaker (8) from moving back into an electrically connected position when the earthing switch is closed. The interlock (8) includes movable roller stopper (44) which is movable between a pair of stationary guides (42, 43) fixed to the cabinet floor (2a) to extend into and out of the path of one of the rollers (9), and a link mechanism (C) which is interlocked with the earthing switch and which moves the movable roller stopper (44) into the path of the roller (9) when the earthing switch is closed. Thus, the load applied to the movable roller stopper (44) by the impact of the roller (9) is substantially offset by the reactive force from the stationary guides (42, 43). Additionally, the circuit breaker (8) is accurately stopped. <IMAGE></p> |
