PURPOSE:To improve sliding properties such as abrasion resistance and seizure resistance by forming one sliding member of iron material of Hv 400 or more and the other sliding surface of hypoeutectic Al-Si alloy and by making the surface roughness of the sliding surface at Rz3mu or less. CONSTITUTION:The sliding surface 1a of a shift fork 1 is formed of an A-Si alloy containing silicon less than the eutectic point in the constitution diagram of A-Si and containing preferably Si of 6-12%. And the surface roughness thereof is made to be Rz3mu or less or, preferably, 2mu or less. Meanwhile, the opposed sliding member such as a hub sleeve demands strength and abrasion resistance strictly and is required to be iron material of Hv400 or more, but the kind of steel is not selected especially. Conventionally, SCr 20 processed through blister quenching (Hv720- 850) is used in almost all cases. In addition, the hardness of Hv400 or more is required only for a part related to thrust sliding. |
