PURPOSE:To obtain a hard bitumen emulsion by an emulsifiying method in which a hard bitumen in which a surfactant is dissolved is emulsified by using an emulsifier obtained by dissolving an acid or alkali suitable for the surfactant used in hot water. CONSTITUTION:A surfactant is added to a hard bitumen, e.g., air-blown asphalt, catalyst-blown asphalt, etc., to form a mixture A. Then, the mixture A is emulsified by using an emulsifier B obtained by dissolving an acid or alkali suitable for the surfactant used, together with an aid, in hot water by means of an emulsifying machine, e.g., homogenizer, a colloid mill, etc., in a proportion of 40-70:60-30 A:B to obtain a hard bitumen emulsion. |
