PURPOSE:To enable to practice stable character disassembling, by disassembling a character through the detection of a character describing frame, by using lower darkness of a character describing frame. CONSTITUTION:A character describing frame is printed in dropout color, and the area for one line's share of the document 1 in which the characters are described in the character describing frame is in photoelectric conversion with the photoelectric conversion means 2 which makes photoelectric conversion lower in the darkness of the character describing frame and higher in the darkness of character. A a result, the darkness of each video element is stored to the memory means 3. The memory content is fed to the character describing frame position detecting means 4, and the number of video elements in which the contrast is less than a given value, is counted toward row and column direction. When the number exceeds the set value respectively in row and column direction, it is regarded as the presence of character describing frame for the location, and this character describing frame location information is fed to the character disassembling means 5. In this means 5, the character describing frame location information and the memory content fed from the means 3 make disassembling of the characters. |
