PURPOSE:To count objects to be inspected of various types accurately and quickly, by outputting the difference of external size of the object to be inspected from an external shape discriminating section as the combination of a plurality of electric signals and outputting the electric signal taking the intensity of light of specific wave length in the reflected light projected from a color discrimination section. CONSTITUTION:On the carrying line 3, object 1AX1 to be inspected which makes recognition through the combination of a plurality of external shapes and surface colors, is carried, and the difference of a plurality of external sizes is detected with a pair of photoelectric switches at the external shape discriminator 4 and fed to the operation control section 6. Further, the color discriminating section 5 is located adjacent to the discriminating section 4, and the light of specific wave length is radiated to the object 1AX1 via the color selection filter from the projectors 14a, 14b provided at the discriminator 5, the reflected light is received at the photoreception sections 15a1-15b2 via the selection filter, and the light intensity of specific wave length is input to the control section 6 as the electric signal. Further, the signal discriminating the external size and the signal of light intensity with specific wave length make recognition of many types of obejcts 1AX1 to quickly count the number of objects 1AX1. |
