PURPOSE:To change the light shielding degree simply and rapidly in a wide range, by changing the thickness of a colored liquid layer. CONSTITUTION:Upper parts of two transparent plates 2 and 2' are caused to adhere to each other through elastic material 1 by the adhesive. Liquid tank 4 storing colored liquid 3 is provided in the lower part of these transparent plates 2 and 2'. In this constitution, no liquid layer exists because transparent plates 2 and 2' are allowed to contact closely to each other under the natural state. Consequently, the light is not shielded at all. However, if liquid tank 4 is compressed by external force, colored liquid 3 spreads out transparent plates 2 and 2' to generate the liquid layer, and the light is shielded. Since this device changes the light shielding degree by adjusting external force and is returned to the original state by removing external force, it is applied to the sunglass, the window frame, the light shielding face used for welding work, and so on. Otherwise, liquid tank 4 is not provided, and the liquid layers interposed between transparent plates 2 and 2' under the natural state, and transparent plates 2 and 2' are allowed to contact closely to each other by external force not to shield the light. |
