PURPOSE:To avoid local heating and to increase the heat transfer rate, by disposing heater pipes constituting the inner cylindrical surface of a heater head side by side with uniform intervals and with a proper angle of inclination. CONSTITUTION:In a hot-gas engine, combusting air is supplied from inlet ports 12 and exchanges heat with exhaust gas while passing through an air preheater 6. Then, after the air flow is turned by a flow regulator 9, the air is introduced into a combustion chamber 5 and combusted together with fuel supplied from a burner 10. By the combustion of fuel, heater pipes 3 and fins 14 are heated and the heat is transmitted to cylinders 1 and heat accumulators 2 which are connected together via heater pipes 3. Here, each of the heater pipes 3 consists of a gently inclined portion 3a, an inclined portion 3b constituting the inner cylindrical surface of the heater head, a folded portion 3c, a straight portion 3d constituting the outer cylindrical surface, etc. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to increase the heat transfer area at the inclined portion 3b and to promote heat transmission by radiation. |
