Thermoplastic handle on knife - with two halves joined by pins and cylindrical stubs through holes in shaft

A knife with a thermoplastic handle has a haft which is integral with the blade and has the same height as the two thermoplastic handle halves. Cross holes in the haft allow pins in one handle half to snap into cylindrical projections in the other handle half. The haft has on both sides inward bulges from the forging operation which become filled with plastic and improve the adhesion when the handle part is heated by induction, followed by pressure against the two halves. This is a more reliable way than filling the bulges with cement.
