Aluminium electrolytic capacitor with low terminal junction resistance - having gamma-alumina coating on aluminium terminals

Al electrolytic capacitor consists of wound layers of anode and cathode foils sepd. by paper impregnated with an operating electrolyte, the anode foils having a dielectric oxide coating, whilst the anode and cathode foils are connected to Al terminal elements with an oxide coating. The novelty is that the terminal elements (6, 7) have a coating of gamma-A1203 (I). (I) is produced by tempering at 300-650 deg.C, esp. for ca 4 h at ca. 420 deg.C. The terminal element contact points have a low junction resistance and low residual current.
