<p>A photosensitive recording material containing in admixture in a binder medium: (1) as imaging substance an organo-tellurium compound containing directly linked to a tellurium atom halogen and at least one organic substituent comprising at least one carbonyl group, (2) a photoreductant which upon exposure to activating radiation in the presence of a hydrogen-donating compound reduces said organo-tellurium compound to liberate metallic tellurium and halogen acid, (3) a hydrogen-donating compound from which hydrogen can be abstracted by the photo-exposed photoreductant, and (4) an organic reducing agent precursor, from which by the action of an acid a compound capable of reducing said organo-tellurium compound can be set free.</p> |
