PURPOSE:To take up fine articles rapidly and mounting the same on a lead frame by using a sheet having sticking areas for good and faulty articles and a missing area as well as a light-transmitting plate colored differently according to each area and by transfering a holder and a mounting head at speeds according to each area. CONSTITUTION:The light transmitting plate 15 colored in three colors corresponding to the good article area A, the faulty-article area B and the lack area C of a pellet 11 is fitted to the holder 14, while the sheet 10 is fitted to a moving frame 12. A light is projected 17, the holder and frame 14 and 12 are transferred, the luminous energy corresponding to the colors on the plate 15 is detected 16, and the frame 12 and a mounting head 13 are driven at a speed different according to output voltage. When a detector 16 is located in the good article area, the frame 12 moves at low speed, the head 13 takes up the pellet 11 and supplies the same to the leas frame. Next, within the faulty article area, taking-up is stopped, and the frame 12 moves at high speed. When entering the missing area C, the frame starts scanning in the reverse direction. By this constitution, the efficiency of the operation to take up the pellet from the surface of the sheet and to mount the same on the lead frame is improved. |
