PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution, by comparing the standard value with a maximum value or a point of positive maximum change, as to digital signal corresponding to different hue arranged on a wavelength axis. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting light from a detection object O is separated into a plurality of wavelengths with a spectroscope SS, and light per wavelength selected in advance among the output lights from the spectroscope SS is led to individual photoelectric conversion element IS with optical photoconductive fibers OF1 and OF2. Further, the output signal from each photoelectric conversion element IS is sequentially picked up in the predetermined order on the time axis, and it is converted into a digital signal individually corresponding to the optical output per preselected wavelength at an AD converter ADC, and this is stored in the memory M and operated at an operation and control circuit ACC. Further, the changed pattern on time of the digital signal individually corresponding to the optical output every preselected wave length and picked up sequentially in the preselected order on the time axis, is detected to identify the hue. |
