<p>A graphic arts camera has its copy-holder table (6) illuminated solely by light reflected by mirrors (8). The mirrors (8) are concave in both the vertical and horizontal directions whereby the table (6) is illuminated evenly but non-uniformly, with a greater amount of light incident on the edges and corners of the table than on its centre. The mirrors may be formed of metal sheets with wing panels (10, 11, 12, 13) set at an angle to a centre panel (9), and corner panels (18, 19, 20, 21) on the side wing panels. For fine adjustment removable and/or slideable control elements of different reflectivity may be placed on the surface of one or more of the panels. A photographic material holder (3) is disclosed wherein a foraminate lower surface to which the material is held is sealed off except only where the material is held to it, by a floppy pad (32) overlying the surface and acting as a self-compensating valve.</p> |
