PURPOSE:To improve the total luminescence efficiency of a lamp by newly arranging an inner bulb in the environment of one electrode inside the outer bulb of the lamp, thus increasing the lamp impedance and reducing the current of the lamp. CONSTITUTION:In the environment of a tungsten filament 5, a straight inner bulb 6 is arranged which is formed of the same material to the outer bulb 1 and of which one end is sealed with the top end of a glass stem 3 and the other end is opened. When discharge occurrs between the both electrodes, the phoshpor 2 on the inner bulb 6 and the outer bulb 1 in which the inner bulb 6 does not exist, emits light. As the sectional area of the bulb reduces in this case, at the part where the inner bulb 6 exists, when lighting-up is carried-out with a conventional stabilzer, the lamp impedance increases, and the current of the lamp veduces. Therefore, the loss power of the electrode and the loss power of the stabilzer reduce than that of the conventional lamp, and the total luminescence efficiency of the lamp can be improved. |
