PURPOSE:To obtain an ink-jet printer which has a simple constitution and is ready to regulate by providing at the end of an ink-jet heat an outer cage having an opening formed between charging electrodes and forming an air flow from said head end towards said opening. CONSTITUTION:At the end of an ink-jet head 1, an outer cage 11 is provided. The outer cage 11 comprises insulative plates of plastics, glass or the like, and charging electrode plates 8 are provided inside the through hole formed in the cage 11. The outer cage 11 covering the end of the ink-jet head 1 forms an air chamber having an opening between charging electrodes 9. When a pressure air is sent from an inlet port 12, the air flows in the air chamber as shown by arrows A and flows out through the hole between the charging electrodes 9 to the outside. On doing this, the air flow A works so that an ink column 7 jetted from a nozzle 1a of the ink-jet head 1 and the atomizing position are led outo the axis of the charging electrodes 9. |
