PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium for ink jet recording with a small diameter of picture elements to provide a picture with high resolution by a method wherein a large amount of fine particles of filler is added to bonding agents, thus obtained mixture is coated on the surface of a base material, and the medium is formed to have specified advancing and receding contact angles. CONSTITUTION:Fillers (preferably with a particle diameter of about 0.1-5mu) not less than 60 (weight) %, preferably not less than 75%, are added to bonding agents. Thus obtained mixture is coated on the surface of a base material such as paper so as to form a recording medium with a advancing contact angle not less than 110 deg. and a receding contact angle less than 30 deg.. As bonding agents, polymethylmethacrylate or polyurethane resin can be used. EFFECT:There occurs no spread or obscuration of an ink droplet due to a porous structure. |
