5-Mercaptopyridoxine alkanesulphonates of the general formula <IMAGE> in which X is 1 or 2, and the C1-4-alkane is straight-chain or branched, obtained by treating the corresponding sulphide or sulphide acetal or disulphide or disulphide acetal or the respective acid addition salts thereof with a C1-4-alkanesulphonic acid or an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt thereof. The compounds which can be prepared according to the invention can, for example, be used as very effective agents for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and similar inflammatory disorders. |
