PURPOSE:To enable to store and save the memory contents of the main memory exactly and automatically to the auxiliary memory device, by executing a memory save control program stored in the ROM, when system failure has been detected. CONSTITUTION:A processing program stored in the main memory 3 is usually executed and processed by the CPU1, but in case the CPU1 has detected a logical absurdity in the course of the processing execution, or in case the monitoring timer 6 has operated, it is regarded as system failure, and the CPU1 executes the memory save control program stored in the ROM5. As a result, the memory contents on the main memory 3 are stored in the auxiliary memory device 4. Since the memory save program is stored in the ROM5, even in case of system failure, its contents are not broken down, and therefore, the memory contents on the main memory 3 are stored in the device 4 exactly and automatically, and the cause of system failure is investigated correctly. |
