<p>PURPOSE:To protect a tape and internal mechanisms by operating a pause mode setting mechanism when the power source is turned off when a recording and reproducing device is in mode other than a pause mode. CONSTITUTION:Since switch S2 is closed when mode REC is set, electric currents are supplied to bases of transistors TR9 and TR11 via diodes D36 and D39 to turn on those transistors. Even when switch S13 or S16 is closed, transistor TR3 or TR6 never turns on. In mode REC, modes FF and REW are never set. Similarly, a current is supplied from switch S3 to the base of transistor TR8 via diode D32, so that mode REC will not be set in mode FF. Diodes D34, D41, D33, and D38 provide mutual mode prevention in respective cases.</p> |
