<p>The coupling bolt for linking the two brake pedals of a tractor has a spring mounted assembly which pulls into the coupled position and a foot operated lever end (9) to pull the coupling apart. A ratchet (13,14) under one pedal secures the bolt in the uncoupled position. The coupling is operated by the foot of the driver, with the bolt assembly under the one pedal (8). When the driver releases the ratchet, by pressing down on the angled end (9) the spring drives the bolt to engage a coupling hole in the other pedal (1). The coupling and decoupling action is performed with the foot and requires no visual aid.</p> |
