PURPOSE:To reduce the temperature rise of two primary windings connected in parallel in an oscillation transformer by connecting a diode to the primary winding of the transformer and thereby suppressing the occurrence of a loop current due to irregularity of the transformer. CONSTITUTION:Diodes D1, D2 are connected between the common connecting points P, P' of the primary winding of the oscillation transformer in which two primary windings A, B are connected in parallel with one another, the points P, P' are connected in reverse polarity and connected through a coke coil L1 to a power source DB. The collectors of push-pull transistors Tr1, Tr2 are connected to both ends of the primary windings A, B. Independent discharge lamps FL1, FL2 are connected to the secondary windings A', B' of the oscillation transformer OT, and are thus energized. Accordingly, a loop current flowing between the windings N1 and N1' due to the irregularity of the transformer OT can be eliminated by the diodes D1, D2, and the temperature rise of the windings can be thus reduced. |
