PURPOSE:To ensure an automatic switching of the transmission mode even in such an abnormal state in which the one-way transmission signal is recovered from the step-out of synchronism, by transmitting the channel control signal by the hand shaking. CONSTITUTION:The transmission data supplied from the terminal via the interface part 1 receives a start-stop reproduction at the transmission start-stop reproduction part 2 to be supplied to the switch 4. At the same time, the input/output channel control signal is supplied to the switch 4 after receiving a parallel-serial conversion at the transmission control signal generating part 3. The transmission mode deciding part 5 monitors the channel control signal and the reception control signal of the reception control signal converting part 9 to decide the transmission mode, and controls the switch 4. Thus the data signal and the control signal are transmitted in the data transmission mode and the control mode respectively. On the other hand, the output channel delivered to the part 3 is sent back via the switch 4 to be compared with the control signal transmitted at the part 5. When a coincidence is obtained there, the synchronism is decided to perform a switching to the transmission mode. While in case no coincidence is obtained, the control mode is held until a coincidence is obtained. |
