<p>The stretcher with an inner frame (11) and an outer frame (1) incorporates a piston and cylinder at each end so that the inner frame can be tilted upwards in either direction. Similarly, at each end of the stretcher is a hinged joint (1) to form an axis across the stretcher, about which the inner frame is swung. At each side of the stretcher, near this joint, is attached a wheel (10). This is mounted on a spindle (8) attached to a bracket (5) projecting downwards from the end of the outer frame, inwards from the lifting handle (4). Projecting from the bracket is a U-shaped extension (24) to receive a supporting spindle (23) projecting from the inner frame. Projecting downwards from the inner frame is an arm (26), with a hooked lower end (28) which can fit around the wheel spindle, when the inner frame is tilted at an angle.</p> |
