The conventional sailboard comprises a hull and an unstayed rig, the hull embodying anti-leeway devices on the underside. However there is a close-fitting sole plate underneath the hull, releasably secured. This plate may be the same length as the hull, or longer at the bow and/or the stern, or extend beyond bow or stern but terminate at about hull mid-length with the other end. It has vertical slots through it for the anti-leeway devices. It may have a top surface recessed to contain the hull at least partially.
|
