The invention relates to Jacquard looms which are equipped with elastic harness-return elements. The aim of the invention is to keep the arrangement of the elastic harness-return elements clean. The object of eliminating fibre fly, dust and the like from the return-element arrangement and therefore of guaranteeing the operating reliability of the return elements is achieved by means of blowing-air and suction-air streams. The dirt particles are picked up by the blowing-air stream, transported by the suction-air stream and deposited in a filter. According to the invention, ventilation elements, such as ducts or nozzles, which can be stationary or be moved in various directions and which preferably act at the fastening height of the elastic harness-return elements, are proposed. The ventilation elements can be arranged over the entire width and some of the height, over the entire height and some of the width and over some of the width and some of the height. Possible sectors of use are, in addition to Jacquard looms, textile machines in which the operating capacity of the working elements is impaired by dirt.
