CONTINUOUS MANUFACTURE OF LAMINATED SUBSTANCE

PURPOSE:To continuously manufacture a laminated insulating board, a laminated substance for the printed circuit board excellent in heat resistance, electrical insulation, etc. by a method wherein base material in the sheet form is impregnated with a specific quantity of thermosetting resin liquid which requires no drying and is nearly free from generation of gas and liquid, and cured in the open air. CONSTITUTION:In a process of curing reaction substantially requiring no drying, the base material in the sheet form (examples : glass fiber group etc.) is impregnated with the thermosetting resin liquid (examples : unsaturated polyester resin etc.) which hardly generates reactive by-products like gas, liquid, etc., a plurality of these impregnated base materials are laminated sequentially and cured continuously under a nonpressure condition to manufacture a laminated substance continuously. At that time when a film or a sheet coat is laminated on the laminated substance of the said resin impregnating base, the rate by weight of the resin liquid to the base material is controlled at 10-90%, preferably at 30-70%. In this way, the laminated insulating board which is excellent in heat resistance, chemical resistance, electrical insulation, etc. and is used for the electrical purpose and a metal-laminated substance used for the printed circuit board are obtained.
