PURPOSE:To prevent the yield of disturbed air streams and to enhance the fan efficiency by forming the outer configuration of a stator core in approximately rectangular shape, and equalizing the areas of core cooling air paths constituted by a stator and a cooling air guide cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The outer configuration of the stator core 33 of the stator of a driving motor 12 is of an approximately rectangular shape. The areas of the core-cooling air paths 34 constituted by the stator 14 and the cooling air guide cylinder 16 are made equal. The length l of the coupling contact part of said stator core 33 and the cooling air guide cylinder 16 is made short. The ratio of the length l of the coupling contact portion to the outer diameter Ds of the stator core 33, i.e., l/ Ds is determined so that it is less than 0.12. In this constitution, the yield of the disturbed air streams can be prevented, the area of the cooling air path can be made large, and the pressure loss in the driving motor part can be made large, and the pressure loss in the driving motor part can be reduced. The rise in the negative pressure in the fan part can be made large, and the fan efficiency can be increased. |
