The cable termination and connecting lug is intended to reduce the failure of the connection as a result of electrolytic action. It consists of a thin liner (2) pref. of the same metal as the cable which is a sliding fit over the cable, and a tubular body (11) extended to a cap formed by pressing the end of the tube into shape. The cap end of the tube has a thin sleeve of metal pressed onto it which is compatible with the terminal post to which it is connected. The ends of the tube and liner are reamed and chamfered at an angle of about 7 degrees to make assembly easier by pressing the component parts together.
