Elastically mounted roller blind - has twisted elastic tie providing small and constant recall force for blind curtain

The blind overcomes the problem of using in-line springs whose recall force varies with spring extension producing a considerable force when the blind curtain is fully extended. The blind curtain (1) folds around the hollow drum (2) when the drum rotates about the fixed end pivots (10), the latter being fixed solidly to end plates (3,4). The twisted elastic tie is fixed to the stops (6,7) and is tensioned by one stop (6) which is fixed to the roller and rotates with it, while the other stop (7) remains stationary by being fixed to the pivot (10).
