Animal shed with sunken liquids manure pit - has fresh air extracted from space above pit and discharged through jets along bottom

The cattle shed, supported above a sunken pit (1) forming a liq. manure reservoir with which is combined a heat recovery system has the pit formed into two sections by two walls (3,4) with a space (10) between them. Above this space there is an access platform (5) and above this, at a higher level are the two sections of the cattle shed floor (2), one each side. Fresh air is extracted from the space above the access platform. This is discharged through lines of jets (7) along tubes (6) along the bottom of the liq. manure reservoir. Immediately above the two central walls are two roof supporting channels (15,16) on top of vertical columns (17,18). These are also above the feedstuff troughs (11,12) which are supplied from a container (23) suspended from the roof channels and which travels between them, above the access platform.
