The holder secures dies in the disc of a rotary tablet-forming machine. An axially-adjustable clamping screw has a taper portion working in a radial bore on the disc and engaging in an annular groove in the die. The bore (9) has a blind hole (14) at the end, into which a cylindrical end portion (15) of the screw (7), adjacent to the taper portion (15), extends. This hole can extend radially inwards in the disc, beyond the inner edge (17) of the bore accommodating the die and its length can be at least equal to that of the taper portion of the screw.
