<p>PURPOSE:To improve an automatic transmission in speed change feeling by supplying a line oil pressure and working oil pressure to compartment spaces on both sides of the piston fitted in a blocked cylinder as well as providing a spring to apply a nonlinear fluctuating stress to said piston. CONSTITUTION:A line oil pressure P1 and a working oil pressure P2 are supplied to the compartment spaces on both sides of a piston 3 fitted in a blocked cylinder 2, and a compression spring 9 which has a linear spring characteristic to apply a nonlinear fluctuating stress to the piston 3 is provided. When the working oil pressure P2 is supplied to a supply passage 7, the piston 3 is slid upward. In this case the stress applied from the spring 9 quickly lowers in the first half of the stroke because of the linear spring characteristic and slowly lowers in the stage after the stroke equivalent to the initial engagment. Accordingly an engagement working oil pressure P3 smoothly lowers its rising speed before and after the stroke corresponding to the spring length l2, so that no speed change shock is produced at engaging.</p> |
