PURPOSE:To accurately mount a bimetal to a temperature sensitive viscous coupling apparatus and reduce the detecting error by forcing a piece into the mounting outer end of the bimetal beforehand and then forcing its central portion into the rod before securing the bimetal to the main body by using a mounting screw. CONSTITUTION:The bimetal 12 operates on detecting the air temperature in the rearward of a radiator, and in response thereto a valve 13 opens or closes a passage 8a in a partition plate 8. The mounting outer end 12b of the bimetal 12 is curved into a circular shape, into which a piece 14 having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of a mounting screw 15 is forced beforehand. Then, the central portion of the bimetal 12 is forced into a rod 11 on the main body side, and the mounting screw 15 is inserted into the piece 14 in order to secure the bimetal 12 to the main body side. Because there is a proper gap between the mounting screw 15 and the piece 14, the bimetal 12 can be accurately mounted without distortion. |
